11-DAYS CRUISING SCOTLAND'S Isolated Coastal ISLANDs INCLUDING THE HEBRIDES, ST. KILDA, North RONA, ORKNEYS AND SHETLANDS AND MORE ONBOARD THE AMAZING M/S POLAR PIONEER.
This longer Scotland voyage is the unsung hero of our trips. Our staff simply love it for the non-stop wonders the islands provide and the beauty and age of everything we encounter. Many guests make a connection to their ancestors here and there is very little that compares to an English garden in Spring.
The 2018 Pure Scotland Cruise takes us on an incredible journey through time from the pre-historic ages to present. The outer islands of the Scottish coast are much as they have been for centuries: stone walkways, thousand-year-old structures, bird-life beyond the imagination and a culture clinging to the ways of old. On one morn, you can walk pristine white beaches dotted with plate-sized scallop shells, the afternoon can bring a Scotch tasting at famed Lagavoulin Distillery or a castle visit to the Isle of Rum. Visiting these places by small ship is exclusive, fun and traditional. Red deer, basking sharks, gannets and puffin colonies keep our binoculars busy while pre-historic stones circles, monk enclaves and medieval towers keep us engaged with the history around us. M/S Polar Pioneer, with Her quiet and unobtrusive nature, provides the perfect platform to experience, up-close, the essence of the Scottish coast, its whales, people, traditions and outposts.
We hope you will considering being a part of this in-depth voyage exploring the utterly fascinating history, wildlife and culture that only the coast of Scotland can provide.
